Panarea is the smallest island of arcipelago, it is surrounded by small satellite islands such as Basiluzzo, Lisca Bianca and le Formiche.
A peaceful island, far from the hustle and bustle of the city and where cars are banned. Panarea is dominated by small roads, by the roofs of the low houses and by the colourful bougainvilleas that contrast with the bright blue sea.
One disembarks at the port of San Pietro, a district of little white houses immersed in vegetation. Proceeding southwards you reach the prehistoric village of Cala Junco, where twenty-three oval stone huts belonging to the Bronze age (1400 B.C.) were discovered, alongside pottery, ceramics, pots and pans, grindstones and mortars abandoned as if the inhabitants of the time had been attacked suddenly.
