La Giara Guesthouse (THREE STARS), a typical eolian building within a flourishing vegetation of palm trees, banana-trees, hibiscus and bright colours of bougainvilleas, stands at only 100m from the main beaches (le acque calde at east, where it is possible to bathe almost all year round, thanks to its hot water springs and the sabbie nere at west) and from the harbour, where hydrofoils and ferry-boats dock and from the mud pools for thermal cures (suggested for respiratory tracks, rheumatism, arthroses and dermatological problems). Near our pension restaurant "da Vincenzino" offers special prices and fishes menu to our boarders.
In order to offer the highest relaxation for guests, La Giara has drawn up an agreement for the access to the geothermal pools, which arise within a green area just behind the little square of the island, full of traditional and wine shops, boutiques, banks and other public offices. From its scenic terrace, it is possible to admire the striking view of the west bay with stacks, the harbour and looking upwards, the Great Crater with its several colours and the fumaroles on the slopes.
A rich breakfast is served every morning on the terrace on an original sicilian cart of the 19th century.
